SERVICES
ACRE's primary purpose is to provide affordable space to artists, businesses, and organizations so they can expand their capacity to deliver services. The available rooms are in the old Amesville Elementary School (29 North Franklin Street) and measure 23 feet by 34 feet (782 square feet). Each south-facing room has 384 square feet of windows, offering exceptional solar gain and natural light. The north-facing rooms also have 384 square feet of windows that provide less solar gain but cooler summer temperatures. For a floor plan of the building, click below.
ACRE provides basic training in computers, internet technology, marketing, and essential assistance with business plans. Additional support for budgeting, financial projections, grants, and other related business skills can be arranged. Tenants benefit from collaborating with one another. Even though diverse, tenants can assist each other with cross-promotions, training, and supply purchases. Some trainings are listed below:
· Intro to Non-profits: Formation, goals, policies, Board function, fundraising, marketing, and evaluation. 2 hours
· Intro to Internet and social media for non-profits: Design, planning, purposes, methods, goals, and evaluation. 2 hours
· Intro to Leadership: Models of leadership and management, personnel issues, motivation, and strategic planning. 3 hours
· Non-profit Fundraising: Grants, events, direct mail, entrepreneurship, sponsorships and marketing. 2.5 hours · Energy Planning: Facilities operations, funding, conservation, renewables, and governmental programs. 1 hour
